We've spent the last several saturdays at the soccer field. You really have to have the "lead in" to get this great accomplishment shown in the pictures. We(Jaimee) were invited to play in a weekend, one-time-thing, tournament last fall. We bit, and proceeded to do the "soccer" thing once again. Our son Jacob has played many years on a competitive team that traveled and won in a Houston tournament, so we know the drill. So, she put on the uniform, shin guards, cleats, ponytail, and pink ribbons. Looking the part, right? NO! She told the COACH she would go on the field and run, but wouldn't go near the ball!!! WOW! Glad you know your boundaries, but that wasn't what we were there for, dear. So we were pleasantly surprised that by the second game in the tournament she was ready to deal with "the ball". She has manipulated it, protected it, forced her way over girls, all in the name of "SOCCER"! Her aggressive plays remind us of her brother, never scared of the ball or any opponent. Those "YOUNG" uncles are so proud!
