TIME

Time is a gift. It is a gift from God. "Time" is our day to prepare to be with God forever. (Mary Ellen Edmunds)

It's the last day of Seminary, early morning scripture study, at the church. Jarrett has mixed feelings about this! He has really loved it and even thanked me for bringing him each day in his "mother's day " letter to me! Here they are after me telling them to give me their BEST smile! I guess it really is only 6:30am, what can a mom expect?? They did stand there long enough for me to TAKE the picture!!
AREN'T THEY CUTE!!!!!
I can't believe their FRESHMAN year of high school is almost complete. Jarrett also wrote(in my mother's day letter) how much his testimony has strengthened from attending seminary this year. He is grateful for his teacher and the opportunity to learn the gospel. They have 12 regular attendees for the freshman seminary class! This is really a great blessing that spills over to all of our family. A BIG THANKS! to the teachers who get up faithfully to teach at 6:30am each day for the school year!!!!!! We Love You!!

Youth Program

I'm so grateful for the youth leaders we have!! My 3 teens have really thrived in the programs we are blessed with. The older 2 can't wait each month for the Stake Dances, and any activity held is anticipated! These are a few pics from a wed. night activity. LOVE those eager smiles. Jessica loves all the young women and is looking forward to girls camp this summer! We have AMAZING leaders who make everything possible. They give so much love and time to our youth. I appreciate them more than words could ever tell! They are Wonderful!!!

The Haircut

Jacob, Jacob, Jacob! What is a mother to do when her 12 year old calls wanting to let his 12 yr old friend "cut" his hair??? Well, I set the boundaries, then pushed him out of the nest! No color, no words, and you clean up the mess. This is the finished product!! Good job, Montana!! My clean-cut deacon has arrived again. I love it! The only negative feedback has been from the girls at school who brushed, combed, and ran their fingers through it. Glad the temptation is removed and in the trash! OOoh, tomorrow's trash day. See ya............................................................................................

Girl's Soccer

We've spent the last several saturdays at the soccer field. You really have to have the "lead in" to get this great accomplishment shown in the pictures. We(Jaimee) were invited to play in a weekend, one-time-thing, tournament last fall. We bit, and proceeded to do the "soccer" thing once again. Our son Jacob has played many years on a competitive team that traveled and won in a Houston tournament, so we know the drill. So, she put on the uniform, shin guards, cleats, ponytail, and pink ribbons. Looking the part, right? NO! She told the COACH she would go on the field and run, but wouldn't go near the ball!!! WOW! Glad you know your boundaries, but that wasn't what we were there for, dear. So we were pleasantly surprised that by the second game in the tournament she was ready to deal with "the ball". She has manipulated it, protected it, forced her way over girls, all in the name of "SOCCER"! Her aggressive plays remind us of her brother, never scared of the ball or any opponent. Those "YOUNG" uncles are so proud!

Cubscouts

I love wednesdays!! I have the pleasure of teaching 7 young boys and helping them earn a boyscout badge. My son, Jarrett(15) helps me each week. They are sooooooo entertaining! We made cakes for their families and they were very creative, of course. The only problem was that we had some leftover jelly beans that no one wanted to use or eat. HMMM what to do!?! So, we had a jelly bean "WAR" behind the closed doors of the primary room. They were very careful to clean up and not smush them into the carpet. They were perfect angels and followed every rule (there weren't many). These are a few of the pictures I took . See the great love they have for each other! They really bonded and had so much fun . No labels, no groups, no hurt feelings, just "jelly bean" LOVE!!Then we quickly cleaned up and went outside with our newly decorated cakes. YEAH!! We will finish for the year in June and I just don't know what I'll do without my fun Wednesdays! I'm just so proud of them for all that they accomplish in any given wed. We have had boring read from the book days and the fun bike relays and they always give their all! It's amazing how much you can learn from your own children and sometimes even more from other people's children. They are special boys that have great parents, that's for sure. A little patience and a lot of love and every scout day is extra great!! I am grateful for this opportunity, because my boys are too old, now. Boy, how the years fly by...............................................................................
